Officers located the subject nearby. The investigation revealed that the subject was under the influence of alcohol. Robert Straus, 35, of No Fixed Address was arrested and transported to the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center where he was charged with Petit Larceny and Drunk in Public. Russell Trego, 49, of No Fixed Address was arrested and transported to the Fairfax County Adult Detention where he charged with Disorderly Conduct. Trego was held without bond. Omar Elbasir, 33, of Falls Church was arrested and transported to the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center where he was charged with Petit Larceny. Elbasir was served his warrant from Alexandria City for Failure to Appear. Elbasir was held on a secure bond. (2025-9637)

DUI Arrest

June 29, 2025 • 3:30 a.m.

Officers responded for an unresponsive driver at the intersection. Officers made contact with the driver and determined that the driver was under the influence of alcohol. Uday Kammula, 37, of Fairfax was arrested and transported to the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center where he was charged with DUI 2nd Offense Within Two Years and Refusal. Kammula was held on a secure bond. (2025-9724)

McDonalds, 10775 Fairfax Blvd. 

June 29, 2025 • 5:33 p.m.

Officers on routine patrol observed a known wanted person walking near Oak Street and Fairfax Blvd and made contact with the subject. The investigation revealed that the subject gave officers false identifying information and was under the influence of alcohol. Olvin Lemus Nunez, 22, of Fairfax was arrested and transported to the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center where he was charged with Giving False Information to Law Enforcement and Drunk in Public. Lemus Nunez was also served his warrant for Petit Larceny. Lemus Nunez was held until he was deemed sober. (2025-9752)
