Senate Report: AM in Cars Is a "Public Safety Concern"

The consensus of Capitol Hill observers is that efforts to earn congressional approval of the AM Radio for Every Vehicle Act has built momentum in recent weeks. We reviewed a report from the Senate's Committee on Commerce, Science and Transportation, which noted AM's role in alerting, and that the proposed mandate would be inexpensive to enforce and implement.
