I walk across this bridge frequently, it connects Manhattan to The Bronx. Just the other day, I noticed this door for the first time. It looks quite old. What’s in it? I love the color. And the pink graffiti. Here is the view of my walk across the bridge. The subway (#1 train, if you’re interested) is above, and very busy traffic adjacent to the walkway. It can be quite noisy, but the Spuyten Duyvil Creek just below is quiet. Ocassionally one will see the Circle Line Tour Boat, or some crew boaters from Colombia University go by. I try not to crop or adjust my photos after taking them, rather I want the finished image to be seen by the viewer as I shot it; it’s a connection with you of time and a place I was in. But something I saw after I took the one above, and then looked closely, made me want to crop. Notice the pigeon? I hope your Saturday is a good one. Thanks for being here, see you tomorrow.
