Muriel Moore, a Spanish teacher at Glenwood Springs High School in Glenwood Springs, Colo., has started the Western US Teacher Appreciation Charitable Trust to support children of educators financially without raising taxes. The nonprofit provides scholarships to students whose parents are teachers, with the first recipient receiving more than $7,000.
