Civil Aviation
Boeing CEO Kelly Ortberg says the company has made significant progress toward matching Airbus deliveries, but challenges remain, particularly regarding the certification of the 737-7, 737-10 and 777X. Ortberg says Boeing has cleared its inventory of 737 Max aircraft but that the 777X faces certification delays, with first deliveries now expected in the fourth quarter of next year. "I feel really good one year in that my plan is working, that we put together. People are getting excited. Customers are feeling better," he said.

Airbus will open a second final assembly line for A320neo jets in Mobile, Ala., next month. The expansion, supported by a skilled workforce and a robust supplier network, coincides with the 10th anniversary of Airbus' Mobile facility, which has grown from 300 to over 2,000 employees. "What began as a vision has evolved into something truly special, creating thousands of jobs, fostering generational careers, and driving substantial economic growth -- not just in Mobile -- but across the region," says Daryl Taylor, senior vice president of commercial aircraft operations in the US at Airbus.

Space
Amazon is set to launch its fifth group of Kuiper broadband satellites next week, with 27 satellites set to be deployed via a United Launch Alliance Atlas V rocket.
