C.E. King put the whole Houston area ... and the state ... on notice with its win over Summer Creek

Happy Monday!

C.E. King made perhaps the biggest statement of the Houston high school football season last Thursday as the Panthers knocked No. 3 state-ranked Summer Creek from the ranks of the unbeaten. C.E. King was just one of several teams that stood out during the seventh week of action.

Watch some highlights and check out my breakdown of all the action here.

Week 8 is now upon us, and district title and playoff races are continuing to heat up. This week’s schedule features some big-time matchups, including Strake Jesuit vs. Fulshear, Jordan vs. Katy, Magnolia vs. Klein Collins, Heights vs. Lamar, Westbury vs. Waltrip and Kinkaid vs. Episcopal.

Stay tuned to our coverage this week for more on those top games to watch.
