Important Dates
- Signing Day will be after school on Tuesday, November 18th. If your athlete will be playing a sport at the college level next year, we would like to help you celebrate. Email Mrs. Gelinas with information.
- Winter Sports Try-Outs will begin on Monday, November 10th and last a minimum of 3 days. Athletes need to make sure they have turned in a VHSL sports physical and registered prior to tryouts.
General Information
- Is your 10th - 12th grader new to Oakton this year? Before they can be cleared for try-outs they MUST go through the transfer portal. Find out how to complete the process HERE.
- There will be an interest meeting for any students wanting to try out for Swim & Dive this season. Come to the cafeteria after school on Wednesday, October 15th to meet Coach Pawlowicz and Coach Meltz.
- There is a meeting Tuesday, October 14th for parents of any students trying out for Baseball this spring. Come meet Coach Janis at 7:00 in the auditorium.
- There will be an interest meeting for any boys interested in trying out for Boys soccer this spring. Come to the lecture hall after school on Wednesday, Oct 22nd to meet Coach Stephens and Coach Powell.
- Coach Brooks will host a pre-season meeting for the parents of all players - all grades - interested in playing Boys basketball for Oakton this winter. He will go over the program, expectations, tryouts, etc., and will answer any questions you may have. Wednesday, Oct. 22 at 6:30 pm in the OHS Cafeteria (For planning purposes, the meeting usually lasts around 45 minutes)
- Coach Mullen will hold an interest meeting for Winter Track & Field after school on November 5th in the cafeteria.
- There will be a Gymnastics interest meeting on Wednesday, Oct 22nd in the cafeteria after school. Email Coach Gudmundsen with any questions. cfgudmundsen@fcps.edu
