No arrests as thousands turn out for Boston ‘No Kings' rally on the Common

Thousands of people descended on the Boston Common on a sunny Saturday for one of the thousands of U.S. “No Kings” protests against the direction of the country under President Donald Trump.

Demonstrators carried signs and dressed up — some as New England staples like lobsters or Dunkin’ — as politicians spoke and musicians performed at the historic park.

“It is where America started. Where the American Revolution happened. It was the original point where we overthrow a king,” said “No Kings” spokesperson Liam Kent.

Watch live: It's Day 3 at the Head of the Charles Regatta

Rowers will be back at the start line at the DeWolfe boathouse for the final day of the Head of the Charles Regatta Sunday.

The weather is expected to be beautiful with temperatures near 70 degrees for Day 3, which promises more excitement at the annual three-day rowing event — the largest in the world.

Celebrating its 60th anniversary this year, Race Director Brendan Mulvey tells us there were 2,700 entries representing some 12,000 athletes and 860 clubs. A man will spend 28-30 years behind bars for kidnapping a 7-year-old girl, strangling her and throwing her off a bridge into a Massachusetts lake in 2017, prosecutors said Friday.

Patriots-Titans preview: Can Kyle Williams get involved in Vrabel revenge game?

FOXBORO — When the Patriots head to Nashville, they’ll bring with them a quarterback who’s playing as though he’s in complete control.

He feels pressure and reacts accordingly. He sees a sliver of daylight deep down the field and attacks it with uncanny accuracy.

In Drake Maye’s recent nearly-error-free performance in New Orleans, his offensive teammates barely wanted to talk to him, as though he was in the middle of a no-hitter. His defensive teammates on the sidelines watched him in awe, saying he must be in a “flow state.”

Enjoy today – rain, gusty winds and colder air return tomorrow

Foliage is peaking across southern new England this weekend. Gorgeous for some, lack luster for others where last week’s nor’easter winds blew the leaves off the trees.

Either way today is gorgeous out there as highs rise to the upper 60s and low 70s! A southerly breeze will strengthen through the day. Enjoy Sunday’s warmth because normal to below-normal temperatures will be the norm for the next 10 days.

A fast-moving weather pattern begins with the week on Monday. By the morning, showers and a few thunderstorms along with gusty winds zoom across the region. This will likely impact the commute time from Worcester to Greater Boston, you may want to give yourself a few extra minutes Monday morning.
