Creating spooky laser-triggered sounds in your garden isn't as hard as it might sound.

You'll need a sound module to play sound. And you need a laser module pointing to a trigger circuit that can trigger the sound.

Sounds expensive?

You'll find the parts on Amazon/eBay/etc. for around $10-15 dollars in total.

Here's the full circuit:

(R1 might need some tweaking based on your R2)

Just place the laser so that it's pointed at the photocell. And when someone crosses the beam - an evil "MUAHAHAHAH!" could be played from the speaker. (Or any other sound of your choice)

Place one or more of these on the pathway to your door.

How's that for a Halloween project?

But it could also be a Christmas (or any other holiday) project. Just use a nice Christmas tune instead of the spooky sound.

This project is available with full instructions and support on Ohmify. Along with lots of other projects - and courses to learn electronics from scratch.
