Game Day Rules: Let's Keep It Safe and Fun!

As we cheer on our Wolverines, we want to make sure everyone has a fun and safe time at the games:

  • No Powder

  • No Artificial Noise Makers: This includes whistles, bells, clappers, and thundersticks. (Cheerleaders are allowed to use megaphones, but fans are not.)

  • No Horns or Speakers

Let's Go Wolverines!

Sportsmanship: Please Lead by Example

We love the energy and excitement our fans bring to our games! When we come together to watch our teams compete, remember that good sportsmanship is a huge part of the fun.

At West Potomac, we count on our students, parents, and community members to show respect and set a positive example for everyone.

This means we need to cheer loud for our team, but we must be respectful to all the people around us. Please remember:

  • No Bad Language: Don't use curse words (profanity).

  • No Put-Downs: Do not say or do things that are mean or disrespectful to anyone. This includes the referees, the other team, the coaches, school staff, or other fans.

Showing respect is not a choice — it's an expectation. If someone breaks these rules, they could be asked to leave the game and school property.

Fall Sports Awards Night
September Athlete(s) of the Month

Coach Hubbard Writes:

Ava is always willing to play wherever she is needed and has found a place in our defense.  She has worked incredibly hard to learn her new position.  She has stepped up and played extremely well throughout our games so far.  She has made a number of key defensive stops that have helped us stay in some tough games and ultimately win in overtime victories.  She made a huge defensive save in our game at Robinson to keep the game close.  She is a key member of our defensive penalty corner unit that has a really tough job and has done it well.

September Athlete of the month

Coach Louisville writes:

Chase has consistently competed at an elite level, demonstrating remarkable skill, determination, and resilience. He had two interceptions during the Month of September along with may plays made on the field.  His work ethic and ability to elevate his performance under pressure make him a role model for his teammates and competitors alike.

Even on days when training or competition is difficult, Chase shows up fully prepared and ready to give his best. He pushes through challenges, maintains focus, and keeps improving. His daily dedication inspires others and raises the standard for all athletes at West Potomac.

Chase is more than just a strong competitor, he’s also a leader. Whether guiding newer teammates, offering encouragement, or helping coordinate team efforts, he fosters a sense of unity and shared purpose. His presence uplifts the team, making others better through example and support.

Beyond athletics, Chase contributes positively to the school community.  He balances his responsibilities with integrity and a sense of service.
