The national pundits are going to be watching major elections today in New York City, New Jersey, and Virginia, but there’s also a highly competitive City Council Democratic primary on Providence’s East Side.
Four Democrats – David Caldwell, Jill Davidson, Jeff Levy, and Matt McDermott – are running in today’s primary to represent Ward 2 (think Blackstone Boulevard).
They’re seeking to succeed Helen Anthony, who resigned last month. The winner of the primary will take on Republican Axel Brito on Dec. 2.
Can you pick the correct order of finish in today’s primary?
The winner will get a Rhode Map tote bag and some great Globe Rhode Island goodies, and coffee and a muffin (or bagel) on me at a coffee shop of your choice.
🤔 So you think you're a Rhode Islander...
Who was the last Republican to win a Providence City Council race in Providence?
(Answer at the bottom.)
Do you have the perfect question for Rhode Map readers? Don't forget to send the answer, too. Shoot me an email today.
