The co-financing round of the DeepTech startup Peeriot together with the Venture Capital companies TGFS and BMT (EUR 1.5 million) has just started. With its innovative IoT technology, the company is creating a decentralized alternative to the classic cloud: devices exchange data directly and react independently to their environment.
Today, many IoT systems are organized centrally. If the connection to the cloud fails, everything often comes to a standstill. At the same time, it is becoming increasingly difficult to control billions of devices securely and reliably.
Peeriot solves exactly this problem. The specialized software networks devices so that they communicate with each other directly and can make decisions independently - even if there is no internet connection. This creates a world in which billions of machines, sensors and robots work together seamlessly.
The technology has already convinced in the first industrial showcases at IBM: even in the event of deliberately provoked network failures, the cooperation remained stable. |
