The weeks leading up to Black Friday are typically swirling with marketing mumbo-jumbo and so-called markdowns that are actually pretty middling. But this year, we’ve been surprised by some of the discounts we’re seeing. That’s not to say there aren’t still some lousy “deals” in the mix. But there’s already plenty worth perusing — from a versatile and slinky silk blouse, to a body cleanser that smells like a luxe hotel lobby, to our tech expert’s favorite MacBook Air.
