Campus buses equipped with AI to enforce bike lane safety
The University of California, San Diego, has deployed Hayden AI's vision AI to keep bike lanes and bus stops clear of illegally parked vehicles, following a pilot program that detected 1,124 violations in 59 days. The technology is being installed on 15 Triton Transit buses, with a 60-day warning period starting in December. "Clear bike lanes and bus stops are essential to keeping students, faculty, staff and visitors safe as they travel throughout campus," Hayden AI CEO Marty Beard says.
