Since launching our bonus tier points offer in December 2024, our members have been earning more tier points when they travel.
We're delighted to announce that extra tier points are here to stay, and from 25 November members of The British Airways Club will automatically earn them, without the need to opt-in.

A reminder of the ways you earn tier points
You can earn tier points through booking flights, or holiday packages with British Airways Holidays, making contributions to Sustainable Aviation Fuels* (‘SAF’), or adding extras to your booking like seating or baggage.
Members will need to opt in to earn extra tier points until 25 November at ba.com/bonus-tier-points. After 25 November there is no requirement for members to opt in, the extra tier points will be automatically awarded after they have travelled.
Extra tier points will be awarded based on the cabin you fly in, as follows:
Euro Traveller: 75 extra tier points per individual flight
Club Europe: 175 extra tier points per individual flight
World Traveller: 150 extra tier points per individual flight
World Traveller Plus: 275 extra tier points per individual flight
Club World: 400 extra tier points per individual flight
First: 550 extra tier points per individual flight
A Qualifying Flight is a flight marketed by British Airways, in any cabin to any global destination, including flights booked as part of a holiday package with British Airways Holidays (excluding Reward Flights, upgrades using Avios, Basic Economy fares, or other promotional upgrades purchased at the airport for a flight marketed or operated by one of our partner airlines).
The order of booking does not determine the order in which Qualifying Flights are awarded. Eligible Participants who complete any Qualifying Flights will be automatically awarded extra tier points 24-48 hours after completion of each Qualifying Flights.
