Ontario Education Minister Paul Calandra answers reporter questions

School board trustees have been an institution in Ontario since 1816. But after more than 200 years, could they be doomed across the province?

Doug Ford's government has made it clear that's a possibility as it aims to overhaul the $32-billion school system and what education minister Paul Calandra has called an "outdated" model, including trustees.

All this is playing out against mounting criticism, with Queen's Park having placed five school boards under supervision, including London-based Thames Valley and Ottawa-Carleton.

But what does it mean for students, parents and educators?

The London Free Press and Ottawa Citizen are teaming up to help make sense of it all. Join us on Wednesday, Nov. 26 from noon to 1 p.m., as reporters Heather Rivers and Joanne Laucius take your questions and hear your concerns.
