For the uninitiated – it’s NPR’s way of doing a year-end round up list. Instead of declaring “The 10 Best Books!!” or whatever, we ask everyone (really, everyone) at NPR to tell us their favorite books of the year. Then we compile that into a huge list for your perusal – about 380 this year.
If that number sounds intimidating, there are filters on the side that you can use to narrow down the choices towards your particular taste/mood. And you can mix and match these tags to get very specific.
Big shout out to Meghan Sullivan, Beth Novey, Rose Friedman, Ivy Buck, Alyson Hurt, Brent Jones, Preeti Aroon, Pam Webster and Kristian Monroe for putting this thing together.
Have fun, let us know what you think, and see you Saturday!
P.S., if a friend sent you this newsletter and you want to sign up, the place to do it is npr.org/newsletter/books. :)
