Enhancement – Register of Debates
- Look in the Debates of Congress section on the Browse page for links to the Register of Debates Page Headings and Index from the 18th Congress, 2nd Session through the 25th Congress, 1st Session (1824 to 1837).
- Search Register of Debates page headings from the search bar by selecting Congressional Record before entering your search terms. Use the Debates of Congress Edition filter to narrow your results to only Register of Debates pages.
- See About Debates of Congress and Coverage Dates to learn more.

| News from the John W. Kluge Center: The Water Test and Witch Trials in Renaissance Germany

Join the John W. Kluge Center for an event taking place on December 10, 2025, at 4pm, in LJ-119 in the Thomas Jefferson Building.

Nathan Dorn, Library of Congress Staff Fellow at the Kluge Center, and Rare Books Curator at the Law Library of Congress, will discuss the practice of dunking people who were accused of the crime of witchcraft in water to determine their guilt or innocence. Dorn will discuss a 1583 pamphlet by Wilhelm Schreiber, often known as Scribonius, defending the practice, highlighting the interplay of folk belief, natural philosophy, demonology, and law that shaped the arguments around it.
This event will take place in person in room LJ-119 of the Library's Thomas Jefferson Building, and can be watched live on Zoom. We will also release video of the event.

| NLS BARD Support: BARD Mobile for Android Version 2.1.1 release

NLS has released v. 2.1.1 (149) of the BARD Mobile App for Android.
The new version is available in the Google Play Store.
The updates include:
Integration with BARD login
The BARD Mobile for Android app has been updated to integrate with the latest version of the BARD login system, offering a user-friendly interface for logging on, resetting a password and reviewing and accepting the End User License Agreement and Government Terms of Use.
Integration with BARD 2.0
The app has been updated to integrate with the latest version of the BARD system, significantly enhancing overall performance and the user experience.
Android 15 support
The app has been upgraded to be fully compatible with Android 15. Prior Android versions 12 through 14 are also supported.
New features and enhancements
- Playback speed can be adjusted by smaller increments and the speed adjustment labeling is more intuitive.
- Improved the downloading experience by removing the step causing confusion for TalkBack users. Now, if there is only one default folder, such as Audio Books, the users do not need to select a folder.
- Made it easier to move, create and name folders.
- Improved the Clear Search feature.
- Improved monitoring. The app now has enhanced reporting features and standardized logging through a uniform sampling rate.
Bug fixes
- Fixed the accessibility issue causing incorrect TalkBack focus after searching and downloading.
- Fixed the bug where renaming the folder changed the order of titles.
- Fixed the issue causing crashes.
