As we head into Thanksgiving here in the United states, I offer some suggestions for those of you who might be entering family gatherings that are fraught.

I hope your travels go well today, if you are on the road, and that the dish that you are supposed to bring survives the trip intact.
Tomorrow on Thanksgiving Day, I hope your stuffing is the best it has ever been (my fave part), and that tensions are kept to a minimum.
With all the craziness in politics right now, I plan to take a breath-- a bit of a pause to regroup--and only think or write about that stuff if absolutely necessary until Monday. For the next few days , I will post cartoons or photographs, because I like staying in touch.
