Howdy,

Back when I was a microchip design engineer at Texas Instruments, the thing that helped me grow fastest wasn’t school or a textbook.

It was working around senior engineers every day. They were experts in exactly what I wanted to learn.

They looked over my shoulder and caught problems I didn’t even know to look for.

I learned by watching how they solved real design challenges.

And I learned even more by sitting in on design reviews and seeing the feedback other engineers received.

Those three things together accelerated my growth more than anything else.

When I left TI to build my own product, I didn’t have that support anymore.

I pushed forward without enough outside feedback, and small issues turned into much bigger problems because I didn’t catch them early.

That applied to both the engineering and the business decisions.

That experience is a big reason I built the Hardware Academy. It gives you the same advantages I had at TI.

You get experts guiding you along and reviewing your work, the chance to watch experienced engineers solve problems, and the ability to learn from the feedback others receive.
