Just got back from Italy with my family.

This trip’s been on our bucket list for years — and we finally pulled it off.

It was pretty special to take my kids overseas and watch them experience all the little misadventures that make travel actually memorable:

• Multiple trains in one afternoon (with kids dragging bags and snacks flying)
• Ordering mystery meals and hoping for the best
• Guessing currency conversions like some kind of math game show
• And trying to speak a new language... badly
