Police Investigate Fatal Crash on 24th Road S.ARLINGTON, Va. – The Arlington County Police Department is investigating a fatal, single-vehicle crash in the 2400 block of 24th Road S. which occurred in the early morning hours of December 15, 2025. At approximately 12:02 a.m., police and fire were dispatched to the report of a crash with injuries. The preliminary investigation indicates the driver of the vehicle was traveling southbound on S. Glebe Road when they left the roadway and struck the exterior of a residential building, resulting in a vehicle fire. The fire was quickly extinguished by the Arlington County Fire Department. The driver, who was the sole occupant of the vehicle, was pronounced deceased on scene. The name of the deceased is being withheld pending proper identification and notification of next of kin. The cause of the crash remains under investigation and preliminarily, speed is believed to be a factor. Anyone with information related to this incident is asked to contact Detective S.
