Ford puts the brakes on F-150 thefts with smart features
Ford is utilizing technology to enhance the security of the F-150 pickup, including the "Start Inhibit" feature that prevents the engine from starting even if a key fob is present. The feature, part of Ford's Stolen Vehicle Services, allows owners to disable the engine via a smartphone app and coordinates with police to recover the stolen vehicle quickly.
