STUDENT RAM PAGE
Providing students and parents with important updates and reports of events and happenings in the high school.
Happy Chanukah to all in our community who celebrate! This Festival of Lights is an 8-day Jewish holiday commemorating the rededication of the Holy Temple, and the miracle of a small quantity of oil that lit the Temple's menorah for 8 days.
As a reminder, winter break will be held Monday, December 22, to Friday, January 2. To help make sure you and your children have a restful break, we have asked that no homework be assigned during this time. Teachers may assign long-range assignments in the weeks ahead of the break, allowing students to practice time management skills, but no assignments will be due immediately following the break. We look forward to welcoming students back in the new year.
Classes resume on Monday, January 5, 2026. See the complete school year calendar.

Robinson Community - A Way to Support
Hello Robinson Community,
As the holiday season approaches, we are asking for your help in collecting gift cards for families in our school and community that need a little extra support, especially at the holidays.
Winter holidays:
Many of our students are too old to be referred for angel tree programs and teenagers are often overlooked.
We are requesting your help with providing gift cards to Giant, Safeway, Target, Amazon, and Walmart to give to families. Target, Amazon, and Walmart are the most needed gift cards and provide the most flexibility to families.
We are also looking for smaller denomination gift cards to Dunkin, Chick Fil A and Starbucks. ($5-25, please).
Please label your gift card with the value on it. This makes it easier for distribution.
To make it easer for you to make a donation in this busy time, we have created some store "registries" so you can order online and have them delivered. We are requesting amounts no larger than $25 as it makes distribution easier. These cards can be delivered to you or to our Volunteer Coordinator, Kathy Paredes' house and she will make sure they get to the school.
Gift cards can be delivered to the school one of 3 ways:
1) Each of the Gift cards can be dropped off in an envelope labeled "ROBINSON SOCIAL WORKERS" to the Robinson main doors (Entrance 1) with the security officers or you may mail them to:
Robinson Secondary School
c/o Social Workers
5035 Sideburn Rd
Fairfax, VA 22032
2) You can go the "registries" listed below and have them mailed to the PTSO Volunteer Coordinator, Kathy Paredes.
3) You can personally drop them off at The Paredes House. Please text 786-942-5308 for the address.
Cards will be distributed by our social workers. This will take some planning, so if you drop them off by Friday, December 12, it would be appreciated.
Gift cards that are not distributed at the holidays are used throughout the year to help families with emergent basic needs.
If you would be so kind as to indicate the amount of money on the gift cards that would be very helpful!
Thank you for your kindness and generosity!
Christyn and Kristen (your social work team)
