President Donald Trump delivered an address to the nation from the White House, largely focused on defending his economic policies and easing anxities. Trump attributed much of his administration's perceived success to his tariff policies, while blaming President Joe Biden for high prices.

The president also announced $1,776 payments to more than 1 million members of the military, which he dubbed a "warrior dividend" in honor of the nation's founding.
