On Friday, Vanity Fair got a heads up that the following day’s episode of Saturday Night Live would be the last for beloved, five-time-Emmy-nominated cast member Bowen Yang. On Saturday (or rather, in the wee hours of Sunday, Eastern Time), the prophecy came to pass as Yang bid farewell to his network TV home after almost seven standout seasons. Eve Batey was watching to record the episode’s highs, from joining his friend (and Wicked costar) Ariana Grande for her opening monologue to getting a final benediction from the one-and-only Cher.
