Wealth WeeklyHow to make your first $1000 onlineHey zxcv, it’s Mark. I firmly believe anyone can make their first $1,000 online. Anyone. Even if you think you’re too busy. In fact, once you make your first $1000 online, you can repeat those same principles to make your next $10,000, $100,000 and beyond. So here is my simple 3 step plan that you can apply to any side hustle to make your first $1,000 online: Step One: Get Good Enough At SomethingStarting a side hustle is like playing a video game. You first need to increase your character’s power by gaining knowledge and developing valuable skills. A valuable skill is anything you can learn that a large market is willing to pay you. Notice I said you just have to become ‘good enough’. That’s because you don’t need to waste years of your life becoming an expert before you can start making money. Way too many people fall into this trap. When you’re picking a valuable skill, you don’t need to reinvent the wheel. These are some proven, useful skills you can spend your free time learning:
Step Two: Offer a Standout ServiceA few years ago my son had become ‘good enough’ at filming and editing videos. He’d managed to teach himself these skills while posting to his YouTube channel, but he wasn’t making much money. That’s when he did something pretty clever: he decided to offer a standout service for clients. If you offer a normal service, for example: ‘I’ll film and edit your videos for $100 each,’ While you will make your first $1,000 eventually, you’ll also be lost in a crowd of competition because you’re competing on price only. Instead, offer a standout service so that your customers don’t see you as one of many options but the only option instead. This gives you the ability to charge far higher prices and build a much more lucrative side hustle. Here’s all you need to make your own standout offer! > Pick a niche. > Sell the financial benefit of your service to your customer. > Add more skills to your service to become irreplaceable! Step Three: Find BuyersNow you know what you’re going to sell and what your standout offer is, it’s time to find buyers. There’s three ways you can go about this: 1) Go direct Reach out to people who already look like a good fit. Send cold DMs, emails, short Loom videos, or personalised samples. 2) Let people come to you List your services on platforms like Fiverr or Upwork, or post content that shows what you do. 3) Use relationships Start with your existing connections. Ask for referrals. Whichever method you choose, remember to tailor your offer to who you want to work with and make it specific to the person you target. Good luck! zxcv, what side hustle are you going to be running in 2026? I’d love to know, so hit reply to this email. As you know by now, I read every response. All the best, Mark Tilbury P.S.
