Dear Travel Fan,

And here we are, at the last weekend of 2025. I hope you’ve been having wonderful holidays, if you celebrate. We are busy putting together our 52 Places for 2026 list, but in the meantime, you can take a last look back at the 2025 list and see the places on that list that Times Travel writers visited.

This week we brought you several articles that hit the cozy winter vibe, whether that means cross-country skiing along Norway’s Troll Trail or trying out one of the new wave of bakeries in Vienna. And our 36 Hours column traveled to Park City, Utah, a great ski town, which will see the last year of the Sundance Film Festival in 2026.

This weekend is a big one for travel. If you’re driving, we’ve put together some tips to help make sure you stay safe. If you’re flying, our survival guide covers cancellations and delays, lost bags and more.
