A teenage “person of interest” in the shooting death of another Aurora teen killed himself in Denver last week, police said.

Crews rescued an injured climber from a trail in Eldorado Canyon State Park on Saturday morning.

The first time Katy Uhl walked out of a meeting with the Parents of Murdered Children support group, she was certain she would never go back.

Witnesses told investigators that a Jeep driving northbound on S. Gun Club Road attempted to pass other drivers several times by crossing into the southbound lanes, police said in the release.

The victim killed in the Sunday morning crash on U.S. 85 in Brighton, who has not been publicly identified, may have been hit by a third vehicle on the highway, police said.

“What it’s intended to do is to lock up the most dangerous sexual offenders until they are safe to rejoin society,” a state oversight board member says. “That is not how it works in practicality.”

The Commerce City Police Department is investigating a fatal accident involving a pedestrian that occurred Friday night on Tower Road just north of 104th Avenue.
