Celebrity's newest ship, Celebrity Xcel, debuted last month and is the fifth in the line's revolutionary Edge series. The vessel features seven new attractions such as The Bazaar, a multi-level space designed to host cultural festivals and events inspired by the destinations visited. It will also provide engaging experiences like live musical performances, culinary tastings and craft demonstrations. Other highlights include the Celebrity Pool Club, Attic at The Club (an adult-oriented games lounge) and Bora, a new alfresco Mediterranean restaurant offering panoramic ocean views.

The ship also includes some of the best features of the innovative series such as the Magic Carpet -- a cantilevered floating platform that moves up and down the starboard side of the vessel, serving as an open-air restaurant on Deck 5, for example, and an extension of the pool area on Deck 14. Accommodations include Edge Staterooms with Infinite Verandas: Press a button and the wall-to-wall windows open, essentially turning your living space into a veranda that's open to sea breezes. Celebrity Xcel will offer sailings to a variety of regions including the Bahamas, the Caribbean and the Mediterranean.

Celebrity's Alaska sailings are among its most popular itineraries and showcase the state's stunning fjords and glaciers and charming seafront communities. Passengers might see whales, otters, bald eagles and bears. Celebrity offers nine- to 13-night Alaska cruise and land tours from May through September. These in-depth itineraries combine a weeklong Alaska coastal sailing with guided tours and hotel stays in destinations like Denali National Park, Talkeetna and Anchorage. Guests stay in authentic lodges and travel via deluxe motorcoach or on an upscale train called the Wilderness Express. Dedicated Tour Directors provide seamless service and share knowledge about the region.
