1. Rivian refreshes R1T, R1S with quad-motor variants

The 2026 Rivian R1T and R1S Quad-Motor models introduce a new four-motor powertrain, each with independent control, pushing total output to 1,025 horsepower and 1,198 lb-ft of torque. The setup delivers improved straight-line acceleration and enables advanced torque vectoring and off-road drive capabilities. The 2026 Rivian R1T and R1S achieve from 0 to 60 mph in 2.5 and 2.6 seconds, respectively.
