The Fairfax Museum & Visitor Center and Historic Blenheim will have winter closures for routine maintenance, deep-cleaning, and operational planning.
The Fairfax Museum & Visitor Center
Open Wednesday - Monday, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Closed January 1 and 19.
The Visitor Center remains open through January, but the Fairfax Story exhibit will be closed. Traveling Exhibits will be open as scheduled - see below!
Historic Blenheim
Closed beginning December 21. The closure will continue through at least January 31, with reopening announced when scheduled.

This traveling exhibit from the Gilder Lehrman Institute of American History examines some of the major events of the Cold War.
Between 1945 and 1991, the United States and the Union of Soviet Socialists Republics (also known as the USSR) battled for global dominance.

Un/Bound: Free Black Virginians 1619-1865
Opens January 28
This traveling exhibit from the Virginia Museum of History and Culture will explore the lives of free Black Virginians from the arrival of the first captive Africans in 1619 to the abolition of slavery in 1865.
Through powerful objects and first-person accounts, visitors will discover how Virginia’s people of color achieved their freedom and persevered within a legal system that recognized them as free but not equal.
