Teen Activities
Join us at The REC: Arlington's Teen After-School Zone!
offers after-school activities for Arlington middle and high school students, including music, dance, games, cooking, art and more. The program is available Tuesdays & Thursdays 2:30 – 6 p.m., except on holidays and days when school is not in session. Free!

Fitness @ TJ
Circuit
Move from station to station trying new moves to test your strength, balance and stamina with an instructor encouraging you! Only $6 for adults; $5 for ages 55+ (with a community center fitness membership). Fridays: 9-10 a.m. Drop in.
Core & More
Abs, back, balance and full-body movements... come try something new! Only $6 for adults; $5 for ages 55+ (with a community center fitness membership). Mondays 9:15-10 a.m. NEW! Core Moves Thursdays: 9:15-10 a.m. Drop in.
Cycle
Warm-up, climb, sprint, interval train, and cool-down. Any fitness level is welcome to go at your own pace in this indoor class for adults on Tuesdays from 9-9:35 a.m., and Wednesdays from 7:15-8 p.m. Only $6 for adults; $5 for ages 55+ (with a community center fitness membership). Drop in or sign up here.
Muscle Conditioning Get your heart rate up with Muscle Conditioning, an outdoor bodyweight workout for adults on Mondays from 12:15-1 p.m. and Thursdays from 5:30-6:15 p.m. Only $6 for adults; $5 for ages 55+ (no membership required). Drop in. Bring your own mat or towel; hand weights are optional.
Muscle Blast
A full-body strength workout with dumbbells, balls, bars and more at this indoor class for adults on Tuesdays from 5:30-6:15 p.m. and Wednesdays from 12:15-1 p.m. Only $6 for adults; $5 for ages 55+ (with a community center fitness membership). Drop in.
Kick off the Year with Pilates Reformer!
It offers a dynamic, full-body workout that blends strength, flexibility, and mindful movement. Using the Reformer’s spring-based resistance system, participants engage in controlled exercises that challenge core stability, improve posture, and enhance muscular endurance. Yoga Build strength, body awareness, and flexibility with a multilevel yoga class. Breathe to connect poses and leave focused and energized onWednesdays from 6:15-7 p.m. and Yoga Pilates Fusion on Fridays from 10:05-10:50 a.m. Only $6 for adults; $5 for ages 55+ (with a community center fitness membership). Arlington's annual tribute to Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. will take place on Sun., Jan. 18, 2026 from 5-6:30 p.m. at . Park Corps: Apply Today!
Love the outdoors? Park Corps is a paid program for ages 16-18 that offers hands-on work with Arlington natural resource professionals. Participants build job skills, gain experience and make connections while working outside. Applications are accepted until Mon., Jan. 12! Apply now!

Want to add a tree to your yard at no cost? EcoAction Arlington is accepting applications for spring 2026 planting through Wed., Jan. 14. EcoAction Arlington’s Tree Canopy Equity Program also provides free trees and shrubs to residents in neighborhoods with low tree cover. Learn more.
