But first: some joy-sparking sweaters

here's the plan

You worked hard enough this week. Let us plan your weekend...

  1. 1.

On Sunday, Roaster in Chief Nikki Glaser returns to host the Golden Globes on CBS — aka “Ozempic’s biggest night.” Will Timothée Chalamet cosplay as a Marty orange Ping-Pong ball? Will Amy Poehler take home the first-ever award for best podcast? Will Glaser take aim at the one star “you cannot make fun of”? TBD, but we’ll be seated (in our most formal sweats) at 8 pm ET.

  2. 2.

If the return to hard pants is feeling extra tough, good news: The viral “2/3 rule” is a foolproof trick for looking put-together — even when you feel the opposite. Bless.

  3. 3.

Whether you’re an Anti-New Year’s Resolutions Person™ or you’ve already abandoned your 2026 goals, perhaps you’d benefit from adopting a “nudge word” instead. The last one is going on our vision boards, ASAP.

    Industry
  4. 4.

Grab your Patagonia vest Season 4 of Industry premieres Sunday at 9 pm ET. HBO’s finance drama picks up nearly a year after Pierpoint’s spiritual demise, with all the deeply horny, deeply troubled money movers stuck in neutral: Harper’s feeling micromanaged while running an investor’s fund. Yasmin’s living the aristocratic life as Sir Henry Muck’s wife. And Eric’s killing time on the golf course. That is, until a promising fintech company catches everyone’s eyes. Cue: more “sex, drugs, and capitalist debauchery.”

  5. 5.

No, we can’t fill the Heated Rivalry-shaped void in your life. But we can introduce you to Ember & Ice, a steamy, three-part audio series starring Connor Storrie and Hudson Williams. It’s not the cottage, but it’s close enough.

Psst…For more dates worth knowing this week, check out the Skimm+ calendar.

Happy (almost) weekend. Lately, I’ve been thinking about channeling my inner bear. Turns out, humans are wired to slow down when it’s cold — just like bears. And while I can’t exactly hibernate in a den for months (bills to pay, etc.), I can embrace the Danish concept of hygge and lean into my grandma hobbies. Here’s how I’ll bear-max this weekend:
