“Heavy.”
At the end of 2025, I was hosting a live event and when I asked people how their business was feeling, the top answer was “heavy,” followed closely by “exhausting.”
I know that no amount of discipline or optimization will shift you out of a business that’s heavy and exhausting. I know because I’ve tried.
What you really need is support that fits the era we’re in.
Over the last twenty years in business, and mentoring thousands of entrepreneurs, I’ve watched too many brilliant people get run down and burnt out.
It’s often because they’re still running their business as if they are the system. Does that sound familiar?
They are the lead planner, the chief strategist, the decision-maker, and the emotional container for it all.
That structure starts feeling very heavy, and becomes a big constraint.
In the past, the advice at this stage was clear: you need to hire support. Hire an operator and build a team. Add people—even if it stretches you financially or requires a leap of faith.
That was great advice for the era it came from.
But we’re in a different era now.
Today, you don’t have to choose between doing everything yourself and taking on the weight of payroll, management, and hiring just to get support.
