Fewer homicides, housing surge, less vacant space downtown top Denver mayor’s 2026 goals

Denver Mayor Mike Johnston said Monday that he will focus this year on reducing homicides, getting more people off the streets, accelerating the permitting of new housing, and filling or repurposing a good chunk of downtown’s vacant office space.
