I’ve been talking with friends and family across the country, and they’re beginning to feel it too. They’re thinking about all of us in Minnesota—and they’re also wondering…is our city next?
Because what we’re witnessing here is a line being crossed. A level of harm, fear, and violation that no one should ever have to experience no matter where they live.
Behind the scenes, my team and I have been working on something for a long time—and we’re choosing to release it early.
Today, we’re launching our VOTE bracelet.
And I can tell you: what’s happening in Minneapolis right now is deeply personal.

I also want to be transparent: we may not keep donations tied to only these two organizations forever. We want the flexibility to move funds where the need is greatest as this situation evolves. But we will be clear and consistent about where donations are going, and we will share updates.
To the people of Minnesota: I am so proud of you.
The murder of Alex Pretti on Saturday was another heartbreaking moment of grief for our community, who has already carried too much. And it’s strengthened my belief that we can’t normalize what’s happening. We can’t look away.
This country has always been home to and was founded by people who resisted tyranny. My hope is that what brings us together again is a shared commitment to protect our communities and each other.
And I’ll be honest: even writing this comes with fear. The fear of backlash. The fear of what happens when a business uses its voice.
So this is our way of showing up: with a bracelet that starts conversations, signals values, and reminds us that voting is one of the most powerful tools we still have.
