February 16th - Holiday – George Washington’s Birthday
Principal’s Message

Wolverine Community,
I hope everyone enjoyed the snow days.
A huge thank you to our custodial staff for their hard work and dedication in clearing our school grounds to ensure we all can get into the building safely.
Last Saturday before the snow hit, we were able to celebrate our Wolverine Science Students at our Science Fair. The projects were impressive.
See some great pictures from our first, La Liga girls game last Thursday, Jan 22.

Congratulations to some of our wonderful Wolverine faculty and staff members!
FCPS CARES submission: Daniel L Ewell
FCPS Cares for Danny Ewell! The West Potomac Academy ART Team nominates Danny Ewell, for the “GOAT Award.” Danny is being recognized because he goes above and beyond to work with IEP students and creates a supportive environment for them to learn and shine. He works closely with the ART teacher to ensure the students receive their accommodations to be successful in Criminal Justice.
FCPS CARES submission: Symone Jenkins
Ms. Jenkins assumed leadership of the yearbook program this year and has led with the mission of making our book more representative of our dynamic student body. In an effort to make this happen, she has created innovative opportunities for more students to be represented in the yearbook. To support our students with low-incidence disabilities, she collaborated with the program leadership to bring the photographer in to the school so the students and their families did not have to do it after school hours. Additionally, she organized an opportunity for our students participating in extracurricular clubs to be photographed during the school day. These are two examples of Ms. Jenkins' willingness to creatively collaborate to generate a more equitable reflection of our student body. Thank you, Ms. Jenkins!
Stay Warm and see you all on Monday!
