I want to share some good news about our students’ academic progress. Across classrooms, students are working hard, engaging in learning, and showing growth. I’m proud of their effort—and grateful for the work our teachers and families are doing to support them.
We are currently administering WIDA testing to measure and support the growth of our multilingual learners’ English language development. These results help us provide the right services and instructional supports for students, so it’s important that each student is present and ready to test.During this testing window, attendance is extremely important. Students who are absent may need to make up the assessment, which can be difficult to schedule and may take time away from instruction. Please help by ensuring your child arrives on time each day, avoids non-urgent appointments during the school day when possible, and gets a good night’s rest.
Thank you for your continued partnership as we support every Whitman student’s success.
