Seniors Mid-Year Transcripts

Senior Mid-year transcripts have been sent to all schools. It takes time for the colleges to process the mid-year paperwork, so please be patient as this is completed

If you feel like your school is missing the mid-year transcripts, please reach out to the college's admissions office to check on their processing time.

News and Announcements

NEW Boundary Updates

A message was sent out on 2/11 to all families that are affected by the boundary changes:

"How to Find Your School Assignment

You may search your address in the FCPS Boundary Explorer Tool to see your school assignment. Street listings of the addresses affected by the adopted boundary changes, along with their new school assignments, are also available by school level on our website: Elementary | Middle | High

Phasing of Boundary Adjustments and Transportation SurveySome students are eligible for “phasing” as outlined in Policy 8130. This means that, depending on their grade level, they may have the option of remaining at their current schools.

Families with a child eligible for phasing should receive a Transportation Survey by Thursday, February 12. Survey feedback will give FCPS an idea of how many eligible students are likely to remain at their current schools and how many would need FCPS-provided transportation. This information will provide the School Board with a closer cost estimate before voting on whether to provide transportation for students who opt to stay at their current school. Survey responses will not affect a student’s school assignment, eligibility, or access to services. Responses will not commit families or FCPS to a decision – instead, survey responses will inform the School Board’s decision-making process.

Parents and guardians of students who are eligible for phasing are encouraged to review the Transportation Survey together. Only the enrolling parent may complete the survey, as only one response per student can be accepted.

Next StepsOur priority is to ensure that all students feel welcomed, supported, and prepared for success in their new school community. Additional information will be shared soon. In the meantime, please view Frequently Asked Questions on our website or select the School Assignment button to submit a question"

PTSA Information

A conversation for parents about AI in FCPS: learn about current classroom tools and the future of AI at Marshall & FCPS.

This is an excellent follow-up to our January meeting on AI and how teens are using it. Now, we're zooming in on what's happening inside FCPS classrooms—and what families should expect moving forward.

Join us on Wednesday, February 18, at 7:30 PM on Zoom as we welcome Rachel Baxter, GCM's Instructional Technology Coach, as our guest speaker. Rachel works closely with teachers to design engaging, technology-rich learning experiences and will offer insight into how AI is being approached across the county.

She'll be joined by Elizabeth Toledo, Librarian, and Samantha Phelps, Social Studies Teacher, for a clear, practical discussion about:

  • What AI tools do students and teachers currently have access to
  • Where FCPS is headed with AI
  • How AI is (and isn't) being used in classrooms
  • Answers to your questions about AI usage in FCPS

Please take a moment to submit any questions you have about AI usage in FCPS so our speakers can prepare. This session is designed to inform, clarify, and keep parents in the loop—because AI isn't coming… It's already here.

Wednesday, Feb. 18th @ 7:30 PM on Zoom
