Thank you to everyone who participated in our Silent Auction! Together with Bingo Night, we raised over $7,000, with all proceeds directly benefiting our students and staff. Your generosity helps make important programs, enrichment opportunities, and staff support possible at Bush Hill, and we are truly grateful for your continued support.
Wednesday night, we also had another successful Restaurant Night at Chuck E. Cheese. Thank you to all the families who came out to support our school—and to those who continued the evening by attending our PTA General Body Meeting. It was wonderful to see so many members of our school community coming together.
The meeting featured a fantastic guest speaker from SEPTA, along with important updates from Assistant Principal Gomes and the PTA Board. If you weren’t able to attend, we hope to see you at our next PTA meeting on Wednesday, March 18. Your involvement makes a difference, and we’d love to have you join us!

Bush Hill Family Science Night is Tuesday, February 24!
We Need Your Help!
The Children’s Science Center Lab team will be onsite to demonstrate each station, and we’re looking for volunteers (age 16 or older) to help support the hands‑on activities. It’s sure to be a fantastic evening of discovery, experimentation, and fun for our families!
Volunteers are needed from 5:15 p.m. to 7:45 p.m., and we kindly ask that you plan to stay for the full shift to keep the event running smoothly.

Help Shape Enrichment at Bush Hill!
Are you interested in helping choose and support the enrichment programs offered at Bush Hill Elementary? The PTA is looking for a new Enrichment Coordinator. This is a great opportunity to make a meaningful impact on our school community.
The new coordinator will have the chance to shadow the current coordinator this spring during class planning and setup, then officially take over for the 2026–2027 school year. Support and guidance will be provided every step of the way!
Without a volunteer in this role, these popular enrichment programs may not be able to continue—so your help truly makes a difference.
If you’re interested or would like to learn more, please reach out to the PTA via email. We would love to have you join the team, and the sooner the better!
Last Chance to Register for Girls on the Run!
Join the Bush Hill Girls on the Run Team for the 2026 season! Registration is closes February 23. Girls in 3rd–6th grade can register here: https://www.gotrnova.org/3rd-5th-grade-program-details
The season will kick off on Tuesday, March 3rd. Practices will be Tuesdays from 8-9 am and Fridays from 4-5 pm.

Families are encouraged to stay informed by following updates and key dates on the FCPS Budget webpage and FY 2027 Budget Calendar.
The Fairfax County Council of PTAs (FCCPTA) is also seeking volunteers for officer positions. Use the link below, if you are interested in serving or nominating someone. Nominations are open till April 7.
