Major setback for Trump: The Supreme Court just now issued a sharp rebuke against the Trump administration, ruling against the legality of his global tariffs. The court said he “exceeded his authority when he imposed sweeping tariffs on imports from nearly every U.S. trading partner, a major setback for his administration’s second-term agenda.” The 6-3 decision has significant implications for the economy, consumers and the president’s trade policy. This is a huge blow to Trump, who placed an overwhelming amount of importance on his wielding of tariffs. Apparently, Trump has been preparing for this possibility, hoping to find other avenues to wield the power he wants against other countries. But he may not be able to do so quickly enough in order to find the money to make up for all of the revenue that the government is expected to refund to importers from all the tariffs he has imposed thus far. What he will do in response to this? It’s the backbone of his way of operating, and is likely throwing his administration into a major tizzy. Yesterday, I suggested that Trump’s positioning our military to attack Iran in recent days had to do with the Epstein files. With this news about the tariffs, and his anger towards the Supreme Court, will it push him over the edge to attack Iran? If Trump could retaliate against the Supreme Court, that would be his first move. I don’t know if he can do that. But… Just in: Trump states he is acknowleging a limited strike against Iran. The world is in danger because of a vengeful, narcissitic, arrogant, selfish old man. Thanks for being here. I hope you can enjoy your Friday! You're currently a free subscriber to Seeing Things.
