Nissan has filed a patent for active engine mounts for electric-vehicle batteries, aiming to better manage battery weight. The system, adapted from performance cars that use active mounts to control heavy engines, involves mounting the EV battery within a movable tray equipped with actuators. The mounts would shift the battery's position in real time, allowing for dynamic adjustments to the vehicle's center of gravity, enhancing handling and stability.
