Independent Analysis: RISE, PIVOT Programs Helped Small Businesses Survive Pandemic

• RISE and PIVOT distributed nearly $70 million to more than 5,400 Fairfax County small businesses and nonprofits during the COVID-19 pandemic.
• A George Mason University analysis found recipients were nearly 6% more likely to survive; 94% remain open today.
• The grants generated $95.5 million in local activity and supported 572 jobs with roughly $50 million in wages.
