The seventh (yes,
seventh) installment of the wildly popular slasher-horror franchise
Scream is in theatres this weekend, much to our reviewer’s dismay.
Scream 7
stars original cast member Neve Campbell as Sidney Prescott, who’s once again terrorized by the Ghostface killer, but this time with a daughter in tow (played by Isabel May, the most captivating among the new cast additions.) But fans will be disappointed by the lazy script and tired attempts at nostalgia. Writes our critic: “This one is perhaps the dumbest of them all: just run-of-the-mill slasher fare only marginally improved by a couple of effective jump scares.”
