Hi everyone,
Today we’re sharing a big milestone: Flux has raised $37M in new funding led by 8VC, with participation from Bain Capital Ventures, Liquid 2 Ventures, and Outsiders Fund, alongside Lenny Rachitsky, John Lilly, Tom Preston-Werner, and many other operators we deeply respect. We raised this for one reason: to take the hard out of hardware, and keep pushing until building hardware feels as fast and iterative as building software.
If you’ve given us feedback, filed a bug, shared a project, or stuck with Flux while we earned the right to be in your workflow, thank you. That input has shaped what we’ve built more than anything else. So far, 1,099,361 builders have used Flux to create 6,425,482 projects, and this raise gives us the resources to move faster and make Flux more reliable for the work you’re doing every day.
With this funding, we’re accelerating investment in three areas.
-
A more capable AI Hardware Engineer. We’re making multi-step execution faster and more reliable, and we’re making the agent clearer about when it is uncertain so you know when to trust it, when to verify, and when to step in. You steer, Flux executes, and you stay in control.
-
A more robust eCAD platform for complex boards. We’re investing in the core editor so you get better performance at scale, fewer frustrating edge cases, and output you can trust when it’s time to build. Because the AI uses the same editor you do, every platform upgrade also upgrades what the agent can do.
-
Deeper ecosystem integrations. We’re doubling down on a parts library grounded in real availability, and tighter integrations with the tools hardware teams rely on. As demand becomes clear, we’ll keep expanding what Flux can connect to.
