Principal's Message

Hello Bruin Community!

Last week, FCPS was honored to welcome one of our students, Lauren Hampton, as a presenter at the second annual Black History Month Celebration. Her presentation highlighted the achievements of Heman Bekele, named 2023 Student of the Year by TIME, who was celebrated for his groundbreaking skin cancer research as a freshman at W.T Woodson High School. His innovative work has the potential to revolutionize skin cancer treatment and stands as a powerful reflection of Black excellence within our schools and inspiring our entire school community. Congratulations, Lauren!

Today is a celebration of our students with disabilities at our annual Fanquest! This morning, we held a hallway parade led by our wonderful marching band. It's awesome to see our 4000+ students lining the halls to cheer on our athletes! We hope you can join us tonight for tailgating at 5:00 and the basketball game at 6:00.

Go Bruins!

Lindsey Kearns
