Wendy's Fundraiser

Burke School Fundraiser at Wendy's-March 10

The Burke School PTA is hosting a fundraiser and reaching out to our local community for support. Because many of our families live outside the immediate area, we rely on the generosity of our neighbors to help make these events successful.

Please consider supporting us by purchasing a meal at the Wendy’s in Burke Towne Center on March 10 (6056 Burke Commons Road, Burke, VA 22015).  Burke School will receive 20% of sales when you say “Burke PTA” at checkout.

Burke School serves FCPS students from across the district and is dedicated to educating children with diverse abilities, needs, and backgrounds. Your support truly makes a difference for our students.

Thank you for supporting the Burke School community!

Fairfax County Health Department Measles Update

Measles is a highly contagious virus that infects 9 out of 10 people who are exposed, if unvaccinated or not immune. It has been in the news lately due to cases in Northern Virginia and among people who have traveled through local airports.

If your spring break or summer plans include traveling abroad or to an area in the United States with high measles activity, the Fairfax County Health Department encourages you to ensure your family is protected. Children 12 months and older should have 1 or 2 doses before traveling. Depending on your specific travel plans, your health care provider may also advise you to vaccinate infants 6 to 11 months old. Read more about these recommendations
