A spring cartoon for you. This morning, I wanted to do a drawing about the Epstein Files. I’ve done a number over the past year involving Trump and the files, and I have done portraits of some of the survivors. My gut said I needed to do something about how Epstein has infected our lives, how sick I am of seeing his face in the news and yet nothing happening. No good idea came to the surface, so I just drew this. I have just a few news items for you today. From a report from NPR: Epstein paid for a weeklong science conference in the Virgin Islands, that hosted Nobel Laureats, some of them women. It illustrates how Epstein used philanthropy to build relationships with scientists and academic institutions. Epstein’s interests spanned fields including theoretical physics, evolutionary biology and computer science, and he funded conferences, research programs and individual scientists. It was so so manipulative, how he seemed to have created a system that lured men into his web of abuse. He apparently was shy at public events, but the report said he always had 2 or 3 very young women around him, he was incredibly wealthy and apparently charming. Here is my thought: he was modeling something to the men he targeted, and brought them to his island just for a brief few hours. It set the stage, I imagine, for intriguing them and eventually bringing them into his orbit and having power over them. An Epstein Class that abused women. From the Parnas Perspective: The New Mexico Department of Justice and other law enforcement agencies searched Zorro Ranch, formerly owned by Epstein, as part of a criminal investigation into alleged illegal activities that occurred there before his death in 2019. Authorities asked the public to stay away from the property and avoid flying drones in the area while the investigation is ongoing, and encouraged anyone with information about events at the ranch to contact the NMDOJ. This is the first ever search of the New Mexico ranch where Epstein and Maxwell abused children, and authorities are searching the ranch for possible buried bodies. An article in the Washington Post reports that a propaganda network that is pro-Iran has found viral success by tapping into the conspiracy theory that Trump attacked Iran to distract the public from the Epstein files. There is a lot of Iran-related misinformation flooding social media since the start of the war. Most of the propganda is not subtle and uses fake video which is terrible….but the thing is, I’m inclined to agree that Trump’s war was started as a distraction from the Epstein Files. Thanks for being here, see you tomorrow. Happy Tuesday… and I hope you can enjoy the warm weather we are having here in the northeast! You're currently a free subscriber to Seeing Things.
