memodio is the first digital health application (DiGA) approved as a therapy for dementia and cognitive disorders that is fully reimbursable by all statutory health insurance providers.
Investors include the Hasso Plattner Institute (HPI Ventures), the Business Angel Club Berlin-Brandenburg (BACB), and experienced health tech angels. The company was founded by specialists from Charité and Heidelberg University Hospital. Memodio is recommended by leading professional associations of German neurologists, neurosurgeons, and psychiatrists.
memodio combines regulatory barriers to entry with a scalable business model in the rapidly growing market for digital therapies. Its effectiveness has been proven in a randomized controlled trial (RCT). Over 8,000 users have already completed more than 100,000 treatment sessions.
The fact that evidence-based, reimbursable DiGA platforms are the focus of institutional investors is demonstrated most recently by the €200 million financing round for Oviva and the exits of Kaia Health, Selfapy, Kalmeda, and somnio.
